As the carriage drove us through the empty wilderness, we gradually began to feel its vitality on our skin.

From the empty wilderness, we could see the dungeons and the bustle of adventurers.

It’s like the feeling of relief you get when you come back from a place where it’s too quiet to hear the sounds of life.

Leaning out of the carriage, I look towards the dungeon.

“Is that Californium?” (Ryouta)

“No, that’s Fermium.” (Cell)

“Fermium?” (Ryouta)

“That’s Fermium, one of the two dungeons in Actinide, the counterpart.” (Cell)

“There’s two dungeons?” (Cell)

 Cell nodded quietly.

“Which one is the minting dungeon?” (Ryouta)

“It’s both of them.” (Ryouta)

“Hmm. The one with the transparent, feminine monsters?” (Ryouta)

“That’s Fermium.” (Cell)

“So that’s where I’m supposed to go?” (Ryouta)

“Not exactly.” (Cell)

 Cell denied softly.

 A female ghostly monster.

It’s a monster I’ve known about for about as long as I’ve known that I can make different things drop from rogue monsters.

When I found out that banknotes and coins were also dungeon drops, I turned them into rogue monsters and that monster appeared.

That’s why I thought it was a monster from Californium, a gold-dropping dungeon run by the Cell’s family.

By the way, the money rogue monster drops is a potion to improve status.

Paper money drops +3, coins drop +1.

Both can’t be raised above A, but they can be raised up to A quite easily, so I produce a lot of them and give them to my friends.

 And that’s it.

“I don’t know what’s going on, but I’ll find out by going to Californium?” (Ryouta)

“It’s my fault for not explaining it to you, but …… seeing is believing. It’s a special dungeon, so I thought it would be better for you.” (Cell)

“I understand.” (Ryouta)

Cell is comin this more out of concern.

There are times when it is better to have no preconceived notions about things.

In the case of the dungeons of this world, it is better to have no preconceived notions about how to “conquer” them, and it is better to have too much information about how to “go around” them.

This time I came here to “attack”.

So it’s better to have no information.

“Oh, now I see a city.” (Ryouta)

“Actinides. It’s a city with two dungeons, Kalifornium and Fermium.” (Cell)

“So there’s only those two?” (Ryouta)

“There used to be another one, but it was a dungeon that had nothing to do with minting, so it was moved elsewhere.” (Cell)

“Away?” (Ryouta)

I could see his eyebrows furrowing.

I knew my eyebrows had gone up in my head because the whole Vanadium thing had popped into my head.

I was still too traumatised to ask for details of the death of Vanadium – Erythronium.

Did they do the same thing?

“If I had done something like that.” (Cell)

 Cell laughed bitterly.

“I wouldn’t be asking Satou-sama to help.” (Cell)

Cell, who also knew about the Vanadium incident, sensitively understood the change in my expression and its meaning.

“Is that so?” (Ryouta)

“I’ve had an amicable transfer to another place. But it’s just that I didn’t do anything when it was dying.” (Cell)

“I see.” (Ryouta)

 I remembered Arsenic.

Dungeons “die” at regular intervals and are reborn elsewhere.

I’m sure he’s aware of that.

It seems to me that this is the lifespan of the dungeon, and that they did not dare to extend it.

Cell doesn’t hide these kinds of details from me.

Nowadays, there is a widespread belief among adventurers that if you do something unreasonable, Ryouta Satou will come out and pay you back.

In fact, I’ve solved a few of those things.

Cell, who knows all about them and is a big fan of mine for some reason, wouldn’t hold anything back from me on this sort of thing.

“Where’s Californium?” (Ryouta)

“In the centre of the city – literally right in the middle of it.” (Cell)

“And you built a city around it?” (Ryouta)

“That’s right.” (Cell)

As we were talking, the carriage went further and entered the town.

It was different from any other town I’d ever seen.

Most of the buildings are made of white marble or something like that, and all of them are massive and stately.

It’s like a business district – no, more a ministry district.

After entering the town, the carriage continued on and eventually came to the centre where Cell said.

“Is there a dungeon in there?” (Ryouta)

“That is the dungeon.” (Cell)

“That’s it?” (Ryouta)

 Surprised, I looked at it.

What I saw was a huge maze made of plant walls.

No, it was a giant maze itself.

“Is it open-air, or is it a dungeon?” (Ryouta)

“It’s like this because no one is in it now.” (Cell)

“Would it be different if someone was in it?” (Ryouta)

“That’s part of the reason why you have to go in once.” (Cell)

“Okay.” (Ryouta)

I didn’t ask any more questions, if that’s what Cell said.

The carriage went further and came to the entrance of the huge maze.

I felt a sense of dread.

There were about ten people at the entrance.

 There were soldiers guarding us.

We got out of the carriage and headed towards them.

“We’ve been waiting for you, Cell-sama!”

All at once, the soldiers clacked their heels together and saluted Cell.

“Nobody went inside right?” (Cell)

“No, sir, we’re completely locked up for the day, just like you asked.”

“Hmm. Good, then I’ll leave it to you, Satou-sama.” (Cell)

“Yes.” (Ryouta)

I nodded, took a light deep breath, and entered the dungeon.

The moment I entered, I felt once again that this was a dungeon.

After the Vanadium incident, I’d come to understand the structure of dungeons.

It’s like when you play a game and there’s always a mini-map somewhere on the screen, and that’s what I see in my head.

So I know exactly whether I’m in a town or a dungeon.

As soon as I entered the giant maze, I knew for sure that this was a dungeon.

Californium dungeon, I can’t feel any stairs, it seems to be just this one floor above ground.

I wondered if it was the same as Sulphur.

I have a minimap in my head so I don’t get lost, but I went there even if it’s a dead end to look around at everything.

 I met a monster.

A goblin the size of a schoolboy appeared in front of me.

The goblin with a club immediately attacked me.

I set up my revolver, and first of all to see how it was, I shot it with a normal bullet —– I defeated it.

It was too easy to kill him, but was it enough?

The next moment, I was even more surprised.

The goblin dropped bivalve with its mouth closed tightly.
