TL Note: You might’ve seen in the past few days, I have been posting more chapters of chiyu mahou, and that’s because I came to a realization that the manga is actually catching up with the WN too darn quickly. Thus, I felt extremely horrible for not continuing this wonderful novel, decided to buckle up and translate more of this. Thus, I’ll postpone the other chapters for now, and solely focus on getting more chapters for chiyu mahou out. Until to a point where I find it’s safe to stop.
Author’s Note:
As there were requests for me to do this, I have made this chapter to introduce the characters that appeared thus far.
Since there are going to be spoilers ahead, those who have not read the 3rd arc of this series, please read that first before proceeding forward.
Name: Neah
Race: Demon (Vampire・Necromancer)
Magic: Restraining Magic・Resistance Magic・?? Magic
A monster of mixed vampire and necromancer blood.
A lonely girl who was born out of standards with the benefits of each race, however, she lost her parents at the age of 10.
She hates being lonely, and thus lived at a village where her vampiric father created the village as livestock. She lived there for about three hundred years, changing into different people and personalities in the process.
In the meantime, she used travellers who come to her village and catch them to listen to the knowledge of the outside world, but she doesn’t kill them. However, after a short period of time, she returned to her former location. Since she loved to accumulate knowledge, she has perfected in learning three additional magics in the span of 200 years.
Having released the Wicked Dragon and jeopardizing her most important place, she realized that she should not stay there any longer, and decided to move away from it.
Name: Tetra
Lineage: Unknown
A woman living with Neah in a village house.
She met Neah when she was less than 10 years old. When she was abandoned by her parents, she wandered through the forest, it was then Neah who picked her up and nurtured her as a parent.
When she grew up, she’d gotten married, had children, and led a happy life——That was supposed to be the case, but two years ago, her husband and child were killed by a monster.
After having her memories wiped out, she had returned to her lonely lifestyle.
Although she was living a tragedy-stricken life, she was never alone.
Even after Usato’s departure, she lives in the unexpanded house, being helped by those around her, living her never-changing days.
She might’ve noticed it herself.
But, she did not say a word, because she knew there was once someone who had taken care of her, a kind person who filled her wounds.

Thanks for the character introduction desu~
More chapters cause your pace is so slow that the manga’s almost caught up?
That’s good!
You do that

Thanks… though I do wonder why you translated this thing if you feel the translation is too slow.. but what ever.
That said, you shouldn’t worry too much. Novels have more to translate than the manga does. Just like how several chapters of manga could be put in a single anime episode, the same way, multiple chapters of novels can be put into the manga. Plus, since there is a lot that is more visual than manga, you have more to translate than they do.

Just to let you know that although the WN version will still be ongoing, the LN publication of Chiyu Mahou has already ended as of its Vol 12.
http://mfbooks.jp/8270/
Author confirmed via their WN account that the LN had started to make changes from LN Vol 11, but 12 sees major changes that ends the story. https://mypage.syosetu.com/mypageblog/view/userid/373000/blogkey/2524975/
Apparently the final LN shares some plot points adapted from the WN version. Author says they repurposed some parts to bring the LN version to a close and provide a “new path” for Usato to take that differs from the original.

I see, so basically for vol 11 and 12, I’ll have to translate the LN version instead. Then get back to the WN once that’s done. Thanks for the info!

The WN and LN have some important differences, Kiriha doesn’t exist in LN version and also manga, the first beast girl Usato met, before Amako. And there’s more but these are just minor
