「Myne-kun, why not use magic to make him fall asleep?」
While I was contemplating what to do, Aisha gave a suggestion.
……I see, that is one way to do it.
I quickly cast 【Support Magic・Sleep】onto Barrett-san.
However, no matter how long I waited and even casted several more times, Barrett-san’s rampage continued.
……Is he perhaps resistant to it?
I will not give up.
This time, I used【Ultimate of Magic】to amplify my magic before casting sleep.
Then, Barrett-san who was moving around suddenly collapsed on the ground.
Seems like the boosted magic really did work.
However, what I do not know is whether Barrett-san is the one resisting it, or is it the Shadow Gremlin the one doing it.
I was curious about it, but there’s no way of knowing it, so I gave up.
Using【Prowess・Extreme】, I picked up the unconscious Barrett-san on my back and started running.
Then, I dropped him back to his teammates, especially near the healer.
「……T-Thank you very much. What happened to our leader?」
「You don’t’ have to worry about it. Danna-sama just casted sleep, that’s all.」
Sylphy who was following me from behind replied on my behalf.
『Then Sylphy, I’ll leave explaining to you.』
『Wait Danna-sama, before I can even explain……I don’t even know the situation?』
……I see, since only I have the【Appraisal】skill, they don’t know what’s going on.
Let’s use【Telepathy】and broadcast it to my family.
『Sylphy, Aisha, Waffle, Kuu….. Can you hear me? I’ll explain the situation right now.』
Then, I explained what happened to Barrett-san and the Shadow Gremlin that has been fused to him.
『……What a terrifying monster. What if it went to one of our family….. Truly terrifying.』
「……Uhmm, since they’ll be worried about it, let’s explain it to them, but let’s move to a different location.」
Aisha proposes as she went ahead to the healer who is currently handling Barrett-san.
「I- I see, this is not the place to have a slow conversation…」
After agreeing, we went to a much safer location.
Then again, this is the center of the capital.
There’s plenty of safe spots.
The question is still the stone statues.
However, if you don’t get close to them, they won’t bother you.
Before I can report it to the King, I need to figure out this Shadow Gremlin, and how to defeat the stone statue first.
While I was having these thoughts, Sylphy rounded up the Soaring Winds and explained the situation.
「……Sylphy, Aisha, I’m sorry but can you go on without me first? There’s something I need to confirm.」
I really need to know more about this Shadow Gremlin.
And I need to know whether it’s the stone stautes that are summoning it.
If I don’t figure those out, the knights will also be in trouble.
Using【Map】, I tried searching for them, and I found the stone statues location, but I did not see any Shadow Gremlin.
……This is not a full investigation, but I don’t think the stone statues are spawning them.
『Waffle, Kuu, is it alright if I ask you for something?』
I want to try hitting the Stone Statue one more time to complete the condition of spawning the Shadow Gremlin.
If it’s Orcs and Goblins, I myself can handle it.
But since the Shadow Gremlin might appear, I might need someone else to back me up.
If I so as make a minor mistake, I might end up becoming a demon. To prevent that, I have Waffle and Kuu protecting me. What’s more, Waffle and Kuu has a higher sense than me.
….. Well then, this will be for real.
I used【Map】to find a less confusing street to battle.
After finding one, I explained my plan to Waffle and Kuu, then it was time for me to attack the Stone Statue.
TLN Note: This is the final chapter of Cut and Paste. I hope that all of you have enjoyed this novel as much as I did. This has been an incredible journey for me, and I hope that I could continue working on such amazing novels with you all. Thank you so much, and I’ll see you on the next chapter.

Do you happen to know why NU mentions a total of 291 chapters?
Logan · 7th January 2020 at 5:09 AM
Cuz author dead.
DMR · 7th January 2020 at 6:51 AM
Um, your point doesn’t answer the question. He’s asking why it’s posted that there are 291 chapters when the last chapter is 288….
Though NU might have counted the prologue and the partial chapters in the count… I only know of a single inter-chapter thing that doesn’t count as a chapter though… but there might have been more…

Oh yeah, the side stories, I forgot about those.

sad that it is over, but also glad, cause the MC was making me mad and the quality of the novel was dropping
as if the author had no plan ahead at all and just went with the flow, adding more wives for no reason, adding more powers that they don’t use, starting plot points and ending them suddenly
making the MC use his “cut and paste”, the defining ability of the whole novel, less and less to add tension and suspense artificially in situations that could be resolved quickly if he used it from the start

To be fair, that’s kinda the flaw of the web novel format. Web novels are closer to rough drafts than the actual novel.
So it’s quite normal for there to be lots of stuff that would feel better cut out… though for me, I feel there is kinda the opposite problem. The novel is obviously getting a harem, so why half ass it???

Mas que nada por que el autor estaba en fase terminal practicamente y aunque haya querido continuar con su proyecto lastimosamente ya no puede ya que falleció hace algunos meses atras

Man, that’s kinda sad.
This wasn’t my favorite web novel, but it was fun to read. I’m always gonna be saddened by the abrupt end to a story.
RIP Author

This story is really good, i really appreciate the author(sakuya-sensei).. If author is in well being, i believe this novel will hit 1000 chapters instead third of it, the concept of cut&paste skill combo-ing with appraisal.total->God is very clever, and the holder is not from otherworlder, so it can make more story for him(instead too fast growing if otherworlder) in learning more deep of his skill, MC char build can leasurely growing slowly and getting more deep relationship with other… This late MC build is really broken, skill is good but his character can’t balance it out in late story. I’m being annoyyed and dissappointed by this late Myne, but Good job Sakuya-sensei for the story you brough to us, Rest in Peace!, also translator, thank you! to both of you!

Thank you for your hard work at translating this novel. I do hope another author picks it up as it ended on a cliffhanger.
Perhaps someone more meticulus who can manage all the skills and have the MC be a lot smarter by always appraising and cutting all skills, as well as not leaving his enemies alive for no reason.
Not forgetting to gather all the multiple skills and start mixing them.

A truly enjoyable read. Such a shame to have lost such a talented author who kept doing what they love all through their medical troubles. That sort of commitment is rare. Cheers to the translators.
